FAQ

The problems that show up before the work starts.

A straight answer, then what we would do with it. Location is not a constraint.

The strategy was signed off. Months later the system is the same. What is actually stuck?

The plan stopped at the deck. The drag is still in the estate, the process, the cost, or a decision nobody owns.

We name that drag and stay until the system you wanted is the one that runs. A second strategy document will not move it.

Three vendors are in the account, and nobody owns the outcome. Where do we start?

Start with who can decide. Another vendor added to a team with no problem statement makes the account louder, not clearer.

If no one inside will own the result, that is the finding. A no is a result.

We ran an AI pilot. The people who do the work never used it. Is the model the problem?

Often the data is not trustworthy, or the use case has no owner. AI is the wrong first move until those two are real.

When they are, the work is a use case, then production, then a number against a baseline. A demo is not adoption.

Leadership wants the estate modernized. The team is afraid a rewrite will stop the business. Which is it?

We do not choose a tool before the drag is measured. Some of the estate can be moved onto something you can observe. Some slice has to be replaced.

The decision is the sequence, and who on your team can run it. A slogan about transformation is not a sequence.

The roadmap is a long list. Nothing is in production.

A list is not a sequence. A roadmap has owners, gates, and an order the team can run.

What is not in that order waits. Shipping the first proven slice matters more than describing the tenth.

The last consultants left, and the knowledge left with them.

That engagement failed the only gate that matters. Your people stay in the work.

Knowledge has to sit with the team that will run the system. Handover is not a courtesy at the end. It is how the work is done.

The board wants a saving. Finance cannot say which system to stop paying for.

Cost without a baseline is a mood. Control means the waste you can see, and the waste you can stop.

If we cannot name it from the estate in front of us, we do not invent a percentage.

Security is a slide in the program, and nobody can draw the estate.

A slide is not a posture. The work is the surface, the posture, and the order of remediation.

If the surface is not visible, that is the first drag. Tools come after that, not before.

We renamed the meetings. The delays are the same.

An operating rhythm is the one the teams still use after we leave. A new set of ceremony names is not a rhythm.

If the cadence dies when the outside help stops, it was never the work.

Where should we start with digital transformation?

Start with one drag you can say in a sentence. The estate, the process, the cost, or the work that has not reached production.

A new platform is not a start. The start is the problem, who owns it, and what would be true if it moved. Then a sequence. Then the first slice.

Should we build the software, or buy it?

Buy what is the same in every company. Build what is the work only you do, and only if your team can keep it after we leave.

The first invoice is not the whole cost. A thing you build has to be maintained, secured, and changed when the business changes. If no one inside will own that, buy. If the product does not fit the drag, do not buy it to look busy.

Will moving to the cloud save us money?

Sometimes the bill goes down. Often it moves. The first stretch you may pay for two ways of running the same work.

Cloud is worth it when you can observe the estate, recover it, and see the waste. It is not a saving until someone can read the bill and stop what you do not use. We do not promise a percentage.

We already bought the product. People still work around it. Was the software wrong?

The product is in the account. The work is still in the spreadsheet, the mail, and the person who remembers.

That is ownership before it is a product fault. Another license will not fix a process nobody agreed to run. If the product cannot carry the work, say so, and stop paying for the part you do not use.

Do we need a custom application?

A custom application is for a workflow no ready product can carry, and for a team that will run it after we leave.

If the drag is a decision nobody owns, software will not settle it. Custom is a build. It is not a way to postpone naming the problem.

How do we know if AI is worth paying for?

Worth paying for means a use case with an owner, data you trust, and a number you can put against a baseline.

A chatbot on the public site is often the loudest idea and a poor first one. Start where the work repeats and a wrong answer has a visible cost. If you cannot name the job, do not buy the model.

Our reports do not agree. Which number do we trust?

Two numbers for the same fact means the data has no owner. The tools are not the argument.

Find the source the business will stand behind. Until that source is the one the team uses, a new dashboard is a third opinion.

What happens if we leave the system as it is for another year?

The drag does not pause. The estate gets harder to observe, the workaround becomes the process, and the cost stays unnamed.

Doing nothing is a decision. It is honest when the problem is not yet named. It is expensive once everyone can already point at the stuck system.

How do we choose who to work with?

Ask who stays through the system, and who leaves with the deck.

A partner who will not give you a no, or who wants the tool chosen before the drag is measured, is selling a start. Your people have to be in the work. If they are not, you are renting a team.

Is digital transformation a one-time project?

The first change is a project with a gate. The system after that is how the company runs.

A program that needs a new name every year was never finished. Your team keeps the cadence. We do not stay on as a department.

Can we automate the process we already have?

Automate a workflow that is stable and worth the time. Do not automate a process you would not defend.

If every exception still needs the same person, the process is the drag. Fix the path, then automate it. Automating the mess makes a faster mess.

What should we measure, so we know it worked?

One baseline, named before the work, and one number after the slice is in production.

Meetings held, licenses bought, and pilots launched do not tell you the system changed. If you cannot say what got faster, cheaper, or safer, the measure was never set.

How much will this cost?

We will not price a program from a sentence. Discovery is one to two weeks so the number has a basis.

A quote that arrives before the drag is named is a guess. The call can tell you whether a quote is even the next step.

What does Stratigion do, and what will you refuse?

Direction, build, and control. Advisory, the change itself, and the numbers around AI, security, and cost. Delivered with your people.

We will not write a deck for another firm to implement, staff a team that has no problem statement, or pick a tool before the drag is measured.

What are the first 30 minutes for?

You name the drag in your words. We say whether a short discovery, a longer engagement, or a stop is the honest next step.

It is not a tour of offers. The call is the faster path. The form is for a note you want on record.

What is the diagnostic, and what is it not?

Five minutes. One drag. Six anchored questions. The answers stay in your browser.

It is a conversation aid. It is not an audit, not a score we store, and not a finding you can wave at a vendor.

What is CARAVAN, in one pass?

Seven stops from the drag to a system your team can run. Clarify, Align, Roadmap, Architect, Validate, Accelerate, Normalize.

Each stop has a time, a deliverable, and a gate. The poster is on the Method page. The point is the gate, not the acronym.

How long does the work take?

Discovery is 1-2 weeks. A strategic engagement is 2-4 months. Build and run is time-based: a pilot against the baseline, then the proven slice in production.

Fractional advisory is a retainer. It is optional, and it is said so. It is not a quiet extension of the build.

Who leads, and where does our team sit?

One experienced industry expert will lead your change. You are not introduced to a seller and then handed to a different team.

The team that stays with the system is yours. We sit in the work with them.

Does the work have to happen in Kolkata?

Location is not a constraint. Stratigion LLP is registered in Behala, Kolkata. The engagement is with the people who run the system, not with a city.

When a decision needs us in the room, we say so. The rest of the work does not wait on a pin on a map.
