Outside the work
Most evenings I pick up the guitar. It is less a performance and more a way to stop thinking about whatever the day decided to leave behind.
I follow Barcelona the way some people follow the markets. Closely, with strong opinions, and the occasional quiet belief that next season will finally make sense.
I watch cricket when it matters, drive long distances because the road asks fewer questions than the phone, and I am a picky eater. I know what I like. I am still learning how to be a less complicated guest.
Work is serious. These are the things that stop it from becoming the only thing.
